Installation issue

Hello ,

I was trying to install 8.4.3 , when i ran gmake after configure , i got this error ..
gmake[3]: *** No rule to make target `utf8_and_euc_jis_2004.o', needed by `utf8_and_euc_jis_2004.so'. Stop.
gmake[3]: Leaving directory `/tmp/postgresql-8.4.3/src/backend/utils/mb/conversion_procs /utf8_and_euc_jis_2004'
gmake[2]: *** [all] Error 2
gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/postgresql-8.4.3/src/backend/utils/mb/conversion_procs '

I am using following version of Liunx
Linux 2.6.9-67.0.7.ELlargesmp #1 SMP Wed Feb 27 04:57:28 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Please help me out

I think this is RHEL 4.

IIRC it is because of old tar version that you used to extract tarball.
I could not reproduce it on my RHEL4 box. You may try updating tar
version and then try again.
